Look @all our new stuff from Santa!!!

Here is a quick run down of our Xmas morning, as Mom ran off shortly thereafter to open her own prezents @Grammy & Grampys's. Which left us quite a few hours alone to revel in our new TOYS!! YAY FOR US!

Here is Maizee checking out the NEW Kitty Cube, we only got 1 but Mom says we'll get another soon>>>see the old ones in the background-those ugly things can go upstairs. We LOVE upstairs & will have Mom take pics of it as soon as its picked up...upstairs is where NO ONE goes so me & Maiz think its our very own CATUARY (mol!)

Here is Maizee looking over our new loot, "Sniff Sniff, thes smails like a sqeekie mowse".

"Are thees fedders on thees sparklie bawls??? KEWL!" PAT PAT PAT "Soft too!"

Here I am hunkering down in the kitty cube, I waiting for PREY! MOL!

I gots PREY, I put the bitey on the squeaky mouse! GRRRRR!

Maizee is swatting the sparkly balls, "HEY THAT'S KINDA CLOSE TO MY BUTT THERE MAIZEE"

"HA HA MAIZEE, now I've got the sparkly balls!" CHOMP CHOMP!

I couldnt wait for Mom to seperate our new fedder balls, I HAD to have them NOW!! They 'rattle' too but I MUST have the fedders!!!

YAY for fedders! They are MINE (cardboard & all), "Dang, these darn things wont come loose..."

Once we got these balls apart we just LOVED them, we flip them in the air, bat them around, hide them, lick them, love on them...Mom says no nasty thoughts you adults, whatever that means??? Happy New Year's eve to all the other furbabies AND their humans :) Be safe & loved! ((and WARM, it's ccccold here & even unexpectedly snowed last nite))

Santa Claws Came!!!

Our posts are gonna be a little out of order as we get caught up from the festivities...would be nice if one of the M's could do a post or two but they are too buzy w/their new toys from Santa. They made out pretty good and seem to enjoy EVERY thing they got>>>which isn't hard for Maize as just a wadded piece of tissue paper would make her happy (and entertained for hours) LOL!

This is their brand new stocking they shared this year, the one I couldnt keep out as Maizee thought it (like everything else) was a TOY.....oh and EVERYTHING is HERS!

Here Murf checks out the stocking "Smells like fishys". See the cute little gold fish hanging on it, there is now only ONE fish thanks to Miss Maizee. See below to see what lured Murf to it....

This is what was in their stocking>>>Organic Cat Nip, Stick w/Sparkly Balls (cuz its Xmas) and......

Xmas colored Sparkly Balls that rattle AND smell like catnip...oh and topped w/fedders, CANT forget the fedders! Those are cats major weakness.

Santa DID bring a new cube!! (yes only ONE as that's all Walgreen's had left @9pm Xmas Eve>>>Bad Mommy!) They will be getting another shortly and the 'weathered' ones will go upstairs...their SANCTUARY :)

They also got an over the door hanger Play N Squeak Mouse, which I put on their tower and its just purrrfect there. ANOTHER GREAT TOY I FOUND WHICH I NEED TO STOCK UP ON.
And of course they got MORE neat treats from Grammy & Grampy which we forgot to photograph, but maybe will share later. Next year will be more 'festive' as (hopefully) Maizee has matured some and we can dare to put up decorations AND leave the presents out>>>that's ANOTHER story as Maizee was worse than a kid if you left gifts around (wrapped AND unwrapped). But I love her and am thankful for BOTH my kittehs this season and all those to come. We hope yours was just as blessed, Shelly Murf & Maiz

Sibling Sunday....

We havnt posted lately as we've been buzy w/the holiday AND family visiting>>>my sister, her hubby & their furbaby Sasha came out here to stay w/my folks. The M's will NOT be in this post because of SASHA! Yesterday they all came for a short visit and to hang some decor for me (my place is BADLY lacking in decor STILL since I moved in Oct '08) and it was a good thing the M's were napping cuz Sasha came in for a bit and Sasha really takes up alot of room...see proof below ;)

This is Sasha the Fawn Great Dane and her mommy looking (laughing) on. See, I told ya she was BIG! We locked the M's on one side of the house, though it wasn't necessary as they were already cowering in my room and having NONE of that 'doggie' visitation/invasion.

We HAD to find something for Sasha to play with and all we had was CAT toys so we used the all time favorite chirping birdie. This is what it looked like after she left, and it's chirping days were over so it is now in trash heaven :( That's OK though cuz the M's have quite of few of those and even more stashed away to replenish as needed. SERIOUSLY CAT OWNERS, THIS TOY IS A GREAT INVESTMENT!!

Here's Sasha eyeing a new Xmas toy but she's about to have more fun w/the NEW Kitty Cube Santa brought the M's....

We kept throwing the birdie into the Kitty Cube and she did her best to get it out>>>her head IS quite a bit bigger than the cats so it made for such fun, LOL!

Sasha the princess having a ball on her trip to Prescott, boy if only the M's knew what was going on out here while they were safely tucked away....they'd pitch a fit!

And here is my sis & broNlaw hanging my BARGAIN pic in my bathroom...I love, love, LOVE it!! Thanks guys for all your help, especially Mindy who took time to help me get my place more appealing>>>she would be GREAT on Trading Spaces & such. Luv ya sis xoxo

Kitteh Cubing!!

It's been so hard keeping current on this, what w/the holidays and all...We have soooo many adventures but it's the finding the time to post them. So today we are going to share w/our 'followers' one of the BEST inventions in cat entertainment>>>The Kitty Cube! If you dont already have one (or 2 like us) I highly recommend it, they DO take alot of beating, but ours are still hanging in there (shhh, Santa might bring new ones this xmas for upstairs)

Here is Maizee demonstrating the 'coziness' of the Kitty Cube, PRRRRR!!

Until a feather stick comes into the picture and its GAME ON! The Cube becomes a Fort and the stick is the enemy....

Out from under comes a paw~~~"GRRRRR, I've gawt yoo my prettee..."

Here's a kitteh elbow and paw from the side trying to sneak up on the stick invader~~~"NO enemees shal enter hour qube! ((even if they ARE feathers...)

One last grab @the culprit and and she took off w/it faster than I could snap a picture. That's Maizee for ya, it's amazing when I can get shots of her cuz she is ALWAYS on the GO! That's the Maine in her, even @almost 2 she is still very kittenish...as Maine's will continue to grow up to 3-5 yrs>>>I still wonder how BIG she is gonna end up :/

A Maizee Moment...

When Maizee first joined our home she had a bad habit of snatching food left out and ALWAYS trying to hide the evidence>>>under my bed, in a cathouse, in a kitty cube, etc. Woke up one morning to hear 'crinkling' under the bed...looked under & found Maizee and a chewed up pckg of shredded cheese. I chalked it up to her maybe having to hoard food for survival in her life before she was rescued. But her hoarding evolved into OBJECTS as well~car keys under my bed, a halloween gift for my daughter behind the armchair, packing bubble wrap under the table and a stuffed animal (larger than her) that she TRIED to drag under the bed where I found it wedged as it was too big.

So just today I found hidden in the bottom hole of the cat tower a SLEW of toys, not sure if she did it while I was in Calif or over a period of weeks.

See her stash above...yes that is 3 birdies, 3 mousies and a bell ball.

And here is the culprit w/her booty "Whut, i wuz storng them four thu wenter.."

"Their MINE

I tell ya, all MINE....BOOOHAHAHAHA!!"

**Note from mommy, funny where she hid them as Murf wont go in the cat tower...she's no dummy ;)

Sparring Sibling Sunday...

It is rare to get a pic of the M's jousting, but today I got a cpl....not too clear but still viewable.

Here is the STARE DOWN before they start sparring, and then IT IS ON!

The paws go up and it's POW POW POW!!!

Now they mean BUSINESS!

And it's a THROW DOWN!!

And the chase is on! This is a rare photo I caught of Maizee chasing Murfee, who is already out of the camera range.

Welcome Home? Me & the M's survived the homecoming...

So I leave rainy Calif early Monday morning and arrive in Prescott to a pending blizzard, it was really coming down but we had NO IDEA what we were in for.

Here I am coming into town and then the view from my computer when I am finally home. It's a real purdy welcome, but like I said>>>we were clueless what was coming! Snow turned to rain=slush, then the wind picked up and it actually started thundering w/lightening...it was CRAZY! The power started flickering and right as I stood up to get a flashlight I lost power (10:30) so called & got the recording that there were many outages in Prescott.

Only thing to do @that point was to go to bed & hope it was back on in the morning before I had to get ready for work>>>put an extra blanket on the bed, closed the cats in w/me & hunkered down... for the night. It 'tried' to come on thru out the night but we didn't get full steady power til around 5:30...just in time to get the heater going and ready for work. Kudos to our APS crews that worked thru the night!! (this pic was taken the NEXT nite as we had no lights during our 'hunkering down' LOL!)

And look what I woke up to, kinda worth it ((I said KINDA)) **Note the icicles upper left, that's a first here...

So I go to leave today and IT'S still there, SNOW!! My poor car wont be seeing the top of the driveway any time soon, has to stay parked down by the street where there isnt much snow and/or ice>>>and it's also FILTHY, so much for that $20 car wash :( Snow go away until xmas, ok? Deal?
Snow EVERYWHERE, it's not melting anytime soon....more expected this wknd, nice to stay home in but it's slow going STILL on the roads!

Cool huh, that they are still there after 3 days ... I actually pulled one down and sucked on it while waiting for my car to warm up ((yup the kid in me))

And in all of this the M's took it in stride, their only qualm was probably just being locked up together for the night AND add the howling wind, thunder booming, flashes of lightening and no heat! Needless to say none of us got much sleep that night :/

STAY TUNED FOR THIS WKNDS SNOWFALL....
